SLV Motorcycle Group Visits Stumphouse Tunnel

THE ADVENTURE BEGAN on 8/20/2025, when the SLV Motorcycle Group traveled upstate to Oconee County near Walhalla, SC. We ate at the Mountain View Restaurant in West Union. It was great small town home cooking! Next, we toured Stumphouse Park which includes the Stumphouse Tunnel and Issaqueena Falls. America’s Boating Club Hosts Poker Run, Beach Bash, 2 ABC Classes, and Monthly Meeting

AMERICA’S BOATING CLUB – Thurmond Lake hosted several events during August and the first weekend of September.  A Poker Run was held on Saturday, September 6 that allowed members to participate by boat or car.  Each participant collected one envelope from 5 stops so that each person had 5 envelopes marked 1,2,3,4,5 with a card in each for a poker hand.  The envelopes were opened at the Plum Branch Lakeside Grille where the winners were announced and participants...

CAST for Kids Event Empowered Special Needs Individuals and Community

May 31 at the Dorn Fishing & Boating Facility was all about community.  America’s Boating Club Thurmond Lake (ABCTL) partnered with the CAST for Kids Foundation to hold a one-day fishing & boating experience for children with special needs.  ABCTL Executive Officer and Captain for the event Karen Love planned the day along with First Mate Danny Hilburn. Strawberry Moon Rises Over Smooth Waters at OAC Kayak Gathering
