ON MARCH 28, approximately 30 Outdoor Adventure Club members met at the Little River Disc Golf course in McCormick, SC to play a round of disc golf.  For most members, this was their first time playing the sport.  The course owner, Bill Rohrey, gave a talk about the history of disc golf and then he showed us the different types of discs and how to throw them.  There are different type throws such as the drive (long fling) and putting (ballerina move).  We practiced throwing for about 15 minutes, which involved a good bit of laughter, and then we divided into teams and hit the 18 hole course.  It was really fun to play and the property is beautiful, so it felt like a hike inside of a game.  Everyone enjoyed the sport and said they wanted to play again soon.

The OAC would like to thank Bill for teaching us the game and letting us play on this beautiful course.
