McCORMICK GARDEN CLUB members are delighted and excited that the Tour of Gardens is returning this spring on May 22, 2021! This year the offering features a sampler of unique gardens that will interest all levels and types of gardeners. Each garden highlights a specific aspect or type of garden for your inspiration and/or pleasure.

Interested in growing your own vegetables? The “Art of Living Off  the Land” (farm to table garden with fruit and nut trees, berries, grapes and vegetables in raised beds) might be high on your list. Or the “Treasured Memories Garden,” featuring exotic and unusual plants from the owners’ travels, might pique your curiosity. The “Xeriscape Garden” filled with bulbs for the different seasons might appeal due to its ease of care with pea gravel beds and “Waterwise” convenience. These are three of the five gardens on the tour where, as you stroll through the garden, a gardener will be at each site to answer your questions and share gardening knowledge. 

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for Saturday, May 22nd from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm for the Spring 2021 Garden Tour, “Beauty and Bounty.” You can purchase your ticket NOW from a McCormick Garden Club member for $15. Tickets may also be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce, Red Rooster, MACK Gift Shop downtown or ReMax Realty on E. Gold Street.
The proceeds from the tour will provide funds for the McCormick Garden Club’s projects such as Camp Wildwood Camperships for Youth, MACK Summer Children’s Programs, JDLH Governor’s School of Agriculture, Blue Star Memorial maintenance, sign at the MACK maintenance, and SC Garden Club State Programs.
