Save the date of May 9, 2026,and get your tickets for a home garden tour from 10am-3pm of some of McCormick County’s special places and hidden gems.This is Mother’s Day weekend, and it will be a fun treat for visiting families, gardening enthusiast  or anyone who would like to get a peek at private gardens.

The home garden tour willconsist of 5 beautiful home gardens, each unique and diverse from the other.   Highlights consist of, but not limited to, a succulent garden in a woodland setting; a garden filled with flowers, shrubs, and terraces; a Monarch butterfly migratory waystation in Willington; the Savannah Lakes Village Community Gardenswith a broad array of raised beds , flowers, vegetables, herbs and fruits.  Two of our club’s Master Gardners will be at the Community Garden and available to answer all your gardening questions.

For a special treat you can tour the beautiful and historic Morrah-McCallister House and gardens in Mt. Carmel . And while you are in Mt. Carmel, make sure you stop at the Mt. Carmel Cafe who will be offering a special lunch discount when you present your tour ticket the day of the tour!

Tickets will be available through McCormick Garden Club members and in downtown McCormick at the Red Rooster, the MACK Artisan Guild, Thompson’s Hardware Store and Coffee HQ beginning March 19^th.  Tickets will have addresses of the properties on the tour and signs will help direct you to parking and other details the day of the tour.  Water and goodies will be available at each site as supplies last.
