On Saturday May 24th, the SLV Motorcycle Group went on an adventure to Toccoa, GA. We had lunch at the X-Factor restaurant in downtown Toccoa. After lunch, we toured the military museum which is in an old train depot downtown. Next, we went to the Toccoa Falls College campus to view the amazing waterfall. The “Camp Toccoa at Currahee” was our next destination. This was a WW2 Airbourne training camp. The movie series, Band of Brothers, was filmed there. Our last stop was the Beaverdam Marina & Restaurant located on Lake Russell. We spent 9 hours andtraveled 194 miles. Our group participants were Tom Adams, John Avino, Jim Corn, Dave Miller, Aaron Miracle, Jeannie Mcjunkins, and Dennis Erickson. It was a wonderful day spent with friends while remembering those that fought for the freedoms we enjoy.
