Just 40 minutes past McCormick to Augusta is the Augusta Sailing Club. The Augusta Sailing Club, founded in 1953 was created with the goal of promoting sailing and fellowship by providing a clubhouse, secure docks, and beach areas for club owners. A group of Savannah Lakes Village residents are having fun warming up and playing a game of softball at the McCormick Recreation Baseball Complex in McCormick. We meet every Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. in the Spring/Summer, and 9:00 a.m. in the Fall/Winter (weather and field conditions permitting).
