ON TUESDAY, MARCH 27 a group of outdoor enthusiasts enjoyed a hike at the Steven’s Creek Heritage Preserve. Paula Palaima provided information about the history of the preserve prior to the beginning of the hike. Carol Mavity researched the wildflowers in the preserve and provided handouts with pictures of the plants we hoped to see. Carol and Paula shared their knowledge of the plants and wildflowers by pointing them out as we hiked through the preserve. We saw the eastern shooting star, Trillium and mayflowers in bloom. We saw trout lily, wild ginger, blue eyed grass, beautiful ferns and mosses, buckeye trees and blooming dogwoods. It was a wonderful day for a hike in the woods.
