ON THE SATURDAY evening of April 22, the Savannah Lakes Rod & Gun Club held it’s Spring Dinner and Seminar at the River Grille. This spring’s topic was “Common Birds of South Carolina,” presented by Lee Belanger, a member of the Rod & Gun Club.
The evening began at 5:30 with a meet and greet social where everyone enjoyed chatting with old friends and new members. Dinner at 6:00 was a delicious meal of risotto stuffed chicken with tarragon sauce supreme and roasted red bliss potatoes prepared by Chef John.
After dinner the attendees were treated to a wonderful presentation about the birds we might encounter every day right here in the village. Lee talked about the Robin, Blue Bird, Crow and several more. Lee is a relaxed presenter with a vast knowledge of her subject matter making her powerpoint presentation almost come to life. The evening passed quickly and was enjoyed by all in attendance.
The Rod & Gun Club’s next dinner seminar will be in late August and promises to be an exciting one!
